2,4,6-Tris (2-hydroxy-4-hexyloxy-3-methylphenyl) -1,3,5-triazine (Appolo-462) - Introduction
2,2 ',2 "-(1,3, 5-triazine-2, 4,6-triyl) Tris [5-(hexyloxy)-6-methyl] phenol is an organic compound, commonly known by the abbreviation HTT. It has the following properties:
1. Appearance: It is a colorless to light yellow solid.
2. Solubility: It is soluble in organic solvents, such as ethanol, dimethyl sulfoxide and dichloromethane.
3. Melting Point: its melting point is about 175-178 ℃.
4. Stability: It is stable at room temperature and is not easily decomposed by light, heat, moisture and oxygen.
5. Optical properties: It is a compound that strongly absorbs ultraviolet rays and exhibits good absorption characteristics in the ultraviolet region (200-400 nm).
The main use of HTT is as a UV absorber and light stabilizer.
1. UV absorber: Because HTT has good UV absorption properties, it can be used to prevent plastics, coatings and fiber materials from fading and deterioration under UV light conditions.
2. Light stabilizer: HTT can be used as a light stabilizer for polymer materials, which can effectively delay the aging and degradation process of polymer materials under sunlight exposure and improve the service life of materials.
The method of preparing HTT is more complicated. A commonly used method is through the presence of benzyl bromide and 2,3,4,5-tetranitroethylbenzene, using sodium carbonate solution to catalyze the condensation reaction of benzyl ether and triethyl phenol.
When using and storing HTT, you need to pay attention to the following safety information:
1. Avoid direct contact with skin and eyes.
2. Use protective gloves, safety glasses and protective mask during operation.
3. Avoid inhalation of its dust and gas.
4. Operate in a well-ventilated place to avoid swallowing and inhaling.
5. Avoid contact with strong oxidants.
Please note that the above information is for reference only. The specific operation should follow the relevant chemical safety procedures.
